Historically, the logic of landscape construction has been influenced by different disciplines. This particular work arises from my curiosity about a writing from the 1970s that I found at home, about a place on the border between Colombia and Venezuela.

Building an archive with maps, aerial photographs, photographic images of the same site at different times, fragments of objects that continue to mutate, these are the pieces that make up this installation. Also, through the gaze of others and their experiences. I try to contain, to apprehend that idea of a landscape that falls apart, that changes all the time, that crumbles, that rusts, and is in continuous transformation, just like ourselves.

Históricamente, la lógica de la construcción del paisaje se ha visto atravesada por diferentes disciplinas. Este trabajo particular surge de mi curiosidad por una escritura de los años 70 que hallé en mi casa, por un lugar en la frontera entre Colombia y Venezuela.

La construcción de un archivo con mapas, aerofotografías, imágenes fotográficas de un mismo sito en diferentes momentos, fragmentos de objetos que continúan mutando, son las piezas que conforman esta instalación. También través de la mirada del otro y de sus experiencias. Trato de contener, de aprehender esa idea de paisaje que se desbarata, que cambia todo el tiempo, que se desmorona, que se oxida y está en una continua transformación, al igual que nosotros mismos.
